AUDI tool factory

In 2005, Audi Hungaria opened its tool factory, which produces plant equipment used in press shops and chassis manufacturing, as well as exclusive series of car body parts for supersport models of the concern. Equipment includes large presses capable of exerting a closing force of up to 25 000 kilonewtons on parts, with 50-tonne dies. The tool factory has been expanding continuously and new presses and 3D laser cutting machines were also installed. Each day, the more than 650 employees of the tool factory in Győr produce car body parts for over 70 exclusive and supersport models of the Audi and Volkswagen concern, at a site over 50,000 m2 in size. 2016 saw the start of the latest expansion phase of the tool factory, during which, in 2017, its area grew by 15,000 square meters to create capacity for future projects. In 2017, four new presses with a maximum pressing force of 2,500 tonnes were installed. Source: AUDI
